Delicious got at least $2M in funding, grew to 5M+ users, and was sold to Yahoo for somewhere between $15M-$30M. Then it changed ownership several times more.
Pinboard, developed by one person without funding, bought Delicious for $35,000 and offered its users an easy way to migrate.
